Originated In Odisha
AniMetro is Odisha's first and only dedicated anime festival โ a movement built by fans, for fans. Since 2023, we've been proving that world-class anime culture belongs in Bhubaneswar.
Our Story
It started with a simple question: why should anime fans in Odisha travel to Mumbai or Bangalore to feel seen?
In May 2023, a small team of passionate otakus decided to change that. With zero precedent and everything to prove, AniMetro held its inaugural edition at Aangan Convention, Bhubaneswar โ and 400 fans showed up.
That day, something was confirmed: the community was real, the demand was massive, and Odisha was ready.

What We Stand For
From amateur enthusiasts to national-level competitors โ AniMetro's cosplay stage is where Odisha's creative energy gets its biggest spotlight.
India's most beloved voice artists and content creators, live on stage. Meet the voices behind Gojo, Doraemon, Deadpool โ right here in Bhubaneswar.
We platform Odisha's anime-inspired creators, artists, and small business owners โ giving homegrown brands the audience they deserve.
3,400+ otakus and counting. AniMetro is where like-minded fans stop being strangers and start being a tribe.
Growth In Numbers
We Have A Purpose
AniMetro believes anime fandom can be a force for good. That's why we collaborate with NGOs to support underprivileged children โ turning event energy into real-world impact.
Attendees who bring donations (clothes, books, toys) for underprivileged kids receive a special discount on their ticket. Even a single toy becomes someone's most prized possession.
We onboard animation institutes to run workshops and discussion panels, upskilling aspiring animators across Odisha.
Combining pop culture with civic empathy โ AniMetro promotes social awareness among thousands of young attendees every year.
Community First
Each edition is designed to create spectacle on stage and meaningful connection off it, from partnerships to real community care.
As Seen In
Offline and online media houses across the state have covered AniMetro's rise from a local event to a cultural institution.
